The Peel DSB ARC Scenarios

Narrowed to 3, the following scenarios for consideration were presented for feedback at the September 23, 2008 Peel District School Board Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) public meeting:

  1. STATUS: OPTION To Receive Further Review: Close Lyndwood and Neil C Matheson. All students K-5 go to Byngmount Beach. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  2. STATUS: OPTION To Receive Further Review:Close Byngmount Beach and Neil C Matheson. All students K-5 go to Lyndwood. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  3. Close Byngmount Beach and Lyndwood. All students K-5 go to Neil C Matheson. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  4. Close Allan A Martin, Byngmount Beach and Neil C Matheson. All students K-8 go to Lyndwood.
  5. Close Lyndwood. Neil C Matheson unchanged. Merge Lyndwood & Byngmount K-5 at Byngmount.  All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  6. Close Byngmount. Neil C Matheson unchanged. Merge Lyndwood & Byngmount grades K-5 at Lyndwood. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  7. Close Byngmount. Neil C Matheson unchanged. Merge Lyndwood & Byngmount K-5 at Lyndwood.  Merge Byngmount and Allan A Martin students grade 6-8 at Allan A Martin. Lyndwood 6-8 students remain at Lyndwood.
  8. Close Byngmount, Lyndwood, and Neil C Matheson.  Build new school at undetermined new site for grades K-5. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  9. STATUS: OPTION To Receive Further Review: Merge Byngmount, Lyndwood, and Neil C Matheson grades K-5 at a new school to be built on one of these original sites. All students grades 6-8 go to Allan A Martin.
  10. Option forwarded by a member of the community and submitted to Penny Gingell, Superintendent of Education and Peel Board ARC Chair.  Close Byngmount, Lyndwood and Neil C Matheson.  Build new K-8 school at Allan A Martin location.
